Purchase of hryvnia at the official NBM exchange rate for Ukrainian refugees, temporarily suspended after record transactions

Approximately 3,000 Ukrainian refugees have been served by Victoriabank in recent days, with transactions for the purchase of hryvnia worth over 10 million lei, the equivalent of about 500 thousand Euros (over 16 million hryvnia), according to the official exchange rate of the National Bank of Moldova.

In the context in which no solution has been identified for the export of the purchased Ukrainian hryvnia, we are forced to temporarily suspend the purchase of hryvnia from the Ukrainian citizens.

We deeply regret this situation.

We will immediately resume the purchase of hryvnia, after, together with the authorities, will identify a solution to be able to export the volume of purchased hryvnia to Ukraine.

We will revert with new information about all the measures undertaken.
