A new method to reset your VB24 password

6 Necessary steps

As of June 15, 2022, in order to prevent fraud attempts, the password reset procedure in VB24 is changed. Therefore, if you have forgotten your VB24 login or password, we urge you to complete the following steps to restore it:

Step 1. 

When accessing the password reset menu, after entering the required data, you will be asked to contact 24/7 Customer Support at the phone numbers displayed on the page, which match the phone numbers on the back of your card.

Step 2

After you ask the operator to reset your password in VB24, he/she will pose you a few questions to identify you and find out the reasons for password reset. Please help us to prevent possible scams and let the operator know if:

  • you have been recently contacted by alleged “bank workers” by phone / Viber / WhatsApp / Telegram;
  • you provided card data  and the one time password (hereinafter OTP ) received via SMS to the third parties;
  • you accessed some links where such information as date of birth, passwords or codes were requested/entered.


Step 3. 

 When the operator makes sure that you are not/have not been the victim of a scam scheme, together you will agree to a time interval (not more than 3 hours) during which you can reset your password in VB24 according to the following scenario:

  • 1) Access the password reset menu in VB24 application and enter the required data;
  • 2) Bank will send you the OTP code to your telephone number registered at Victoriabank;
  • 3) Enter the OTP code received via SMS and complete the password reset process for VB24

With the intention of obtaining your bank details, they sometimes manage, through various methods, to fool the vigilance of customers and gain access to the accounts of online banking applications (login, password, card details and even confirmation passwords via SMS).

Precisely for the reason of protecting you from such cases and out of the desire to offer you a safe, convenient and unique banking experience, we are launching a new way to reset your access password.

  • Here you will find essential information on bank card protection, password setting and protection against scammers, etc.
  • If you changed your mobile phone number, please update it at the nearest Victoriabank unit;
  • Make sure your personal data is updated on time; you can do it at the nearest Victoriabank unit;
  • If you are using VB24 application on a high-performance smart phone, we recommend you to use the biometric security option for authentication (fingerprint or face ID)

6 Registration of the next bank card in the application

Type the "+" symbol , at the top left of the screen, then enter the card data.

Each registered card will instantly generate a virtual card  through which transactions will be made. Using another card will be done by listing the screen on the left or right.

By registering several bank cards, you can set the card that will be used by default, including in the background mode, by activating the "star" symbol at the top center of the screen with the image of the selected card.

6 Payment with the VB24 Pay application

  • Launch the application
  • Enter the access password (fingerprint)
  • Select the card
  • Move the smartphone closer to the POS-terminal screen or the PIN-pad screen, identical to contactless card payments *
    Some smartphone models must be positioned with the screen facing the reader, others - with the back / verso. Identify the appropriate payment method for the device that belongs to you using the test method.*
  • After reading the card data, you will hear an audible signal, and the amount of the transaction will be displayed on the smartphone screen.

6 Payment with smartphone set to "background" mode

  •  Activate the "background" mode  in the application
  •  Launch the application and enter the access password
  •  You can return to the home screen  or launch any other application
  •  To make payments, all you need to do is  unlock your mobile device and act in the same way as paying with your smartphone in "normal mode",  without the need to activate the application. Thus, the card selected for use in the default mode will be used for transactions.

6 Online card administration

Victoriabank gives you free access and administration of your card accounts through the VB24 Mobile and VB24 Web application. Here you can set transaction limits, manage and set the number of transactions.

Application operation details:

  • Change password - In the "Settings" menu you can change the access password in the application, delete the data of the registered card or set the operation of the application in the background mode. To use the app in the background mode, set your smartphone to lock with a PIN code, picture, password, etc.
  • The optimal operation of the application is conditioned by the internet connection of the mobile device at least once in 3 days, or after every 5th transaction made with it. The internet connection is required to update the cryptographic keys that ensure the execution of transactions. Cryptographic key updates can also be initiated manually in the "Settings" menu at the top right of the screen.
