Joining SEPA provides the bank's customers with a high level of interoperability across Europe, and the difference will be felt quickly: faster payments and collections in euros at lower costs, all with the same level of security we provide every day.

“By launching SEPA payments with ZERO fees by the end of the year, we continue to fundamentally change the way customers make payments in euros: faster, simpler, and significantly more cost-effective. We’ve implemented the ZERO fee service for Victoriabank–BT transfers, and now we’re expanding the offer to include SEPA payments as well. Whether it’s an entrepreneur paying a business partner in Italy or a parent sending money to a student child in Germany—everyone now benefits from fast, secure, and free transfers. It’s an experience a modern, integrated banking solution that offers greater control, predictability, and efficiency in money management”, he said Elena-Ionela Maloș, Vice President of Operations, Victoriabank.
For a payment to be considered a SEPA payment, it must:
made in euros to a bank in a country accepted into the SEPA system;
performed under normal circumstances (not on an emergency basis);
SHA-based commission—fees are split between the sender and the recipient.
SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) It is the European standard that simplifies euro transfers between banks in European Union member states and other participating countries, providing a common framework that ensures speed, security, and low costs for cross-border payments. Victoriabank’s participation in this system places the bank among the community of modern financial institutions and provides customers with direct access to European payment standards.
