Commemorative Coins
Commemorative coins are works of numismatic art and are most often made of precious metals—gold or silver. They are issued in limited editions and are dedicated to notable figures, historical events, as well as nature, science, or the arts. They are issued by the National Bank of Moldova, have numismatic value, and can be used as a means of payment.
Commemorative coins feature exceptional aesthetics and distinctive craftsmanship. They are presented in special capsules and boxes and are accompanied by certificates of authenticity that list the coin’s characteristics and bear the signature of the governor of the National Bank.
