A traveller’s cheque represents an engagement of a bank to pay an amount of money to the respective cheque’s holder, in the name of which the cheque was issued. |  |  | How can you obtain a traveller’s cheque: To obtain a traveller’s cheque it is necessary: - To present yourself at one of the Victoriabank’s branch-offices;
- To have with you your identity card or passport;
- To select the currency ( EUR or USD) in which you want your cheque to be issued;
- To fill in the form, necessary for issuing traveller’s cheques.
- To pay the traveller’s cheque’s value in cash, by a bank transfer, or from your account, opened with the Victoriabank;
- To sign the issued traveller’s cheque in the presence of the bank’s representative.
| | How can you encash a traveller’s cheque: To encash a traveller’s cheque it is necessary: - To present yourself at one of the Victoriabank’s branch-offices or at one of our correspondent banks (link to correspondent banks) abroad.
- To have with you your identity card or passport and traveller’s cheques, which you want to encash.
| | The cheques will be verified by a responsible person of the bank. To be submitted for encashment, traveller’s cheques have to bear your signature. To confirm the lawfulness you will have to sign the cheque at the bank once again.
After confirmation, you will get the amount of the traveller’s cheque with the deduction of the commissions, charged by the bank for this operation.
Traveller’s cheques may be used when buying goods and paying for services in all countries of the world, and in case of necessity they can be encashed.The unused in the time of your trip traveller’s cheques can be kept for the next trip, since they are issued for the unlimited period of time.
