In according to the Regulation of opening, modification and closing of accounts at the authorized banks from Republic of Moldova (BNM Nr.297 decision of 25.11.2004) to open a current account or deposit for individuals or non-residents who do not practice enterprise activity or other type of work it is necessary to presents the following documents:
a) request for opening the account;
b) a copy of the identity card of the account holder;
c) questionnaire for the individual.

For the under age people (children till 14 years) and those with limited capacity of exercise , opening accounts and their management is carried out by parents or legal representatives, under the law.

If the account is opened by a person empowered, it is necessary to present a copy of the valid identity card of the person in whose name the account is opened, a copy of own identity card and the mandate.
